In a life full of kids, work and partners it is easy to forget about a very important person… YOU! Take some time this week, about 20 mins (yes, less than an episode of Dexter or So you think you can dance) and do something really calm, relaxing and nice for yourself.
Its easy! Run yourself a nice hot bath. If you have some lovely bath products put them in.. if not make your own via a piece of gauze/cheese cloth and any of these herbs you can get at the grocery store or via a drop or two of oils from places like the body shop.
- peppermint/mint leaves
- Condition your hair with Aunt Jemima Syrup®
- Give yourself a facial with Pepto-Bismol®
- Condition your hair with Cool Whip®
- Clean dry skin with Mott’s Applesauce®
- Soothe tired feet with French’s Mustard®
- Shave your legs with Cheez-Whiz®
Sounds weird but with these easy instructions in the book they work great.
Now light some candles, pour a nice glass of wine, leave your cell on vibrate in the other room.. and set the timer for 20 mins… and don’t get out till it goes off…
For extra credit.. put a mask on your face and some extra conditioner in your hair while you soak. Yes you have some in the back of the cupboard, dig them out. 🙂
When you are ready, let out the bath water and enjoy a calm relaxing shower to rinse it all off. We recommend a ‘rain fall’ shower. Its well worth it! It feels like a delicate rain falling on your shoulders and makes a great relaxing time when you dont have time for a bath.
You’ll be back to your regular scheduled life before they find out who “the biggest loser” is this week, so don’t worry and take the time and stick to it!
