Its now the “in thing” to take full advantage of quick fix convenient no-waiting solutions for nearly every area of life. Having to wait in line at the grocery store or DMV inevitably brings out the social media ravings and Twitter quips. People demand fast fixes to problem cars and problem people, and the experience of growing up has been reduced to a snapshot of how well children conform to some predefined model. Teachers expect compliance, parents demand their children grow up fast without too many bumps in the road, and those creative enough or gifted enough or broken enough are at best ignored.

I need to fix my problem fast!

When I start working with a client,it’s very important for me to get to know what kind of learner they are.  Why? Knowing if someone is a more dominant left-brain thinker vs a right-brain thinker is extremely important when it comes to organizing.   Not sure if you’re left-brain or right-brain dominant?  There are a ton of different quick ‘test’ you can take on-line.  Here are 2 sites that you may wish to explore:

These days, it is all about choice. From the moment you wake up (toast or cereal?) right until bedtime (do I turn the heater up or down?) at every turn, we are faced with a myriad of choices. In fact, this world offers us a sometimes overwhelming array of decisions even before we have our first cup of coffee in the morning.

What about the big choices? The choices that shape our lives, so they say. Most often, these are the choices that previous generations of women did not even have. Today, women have their pick of schools, industries...

When we are little girls we are told that life will look a lot like Disney. Our parents read us bed time stories and tell us what beautiful little girls we are. As part of this constant mix we are told that we will meet a girl pal and be the bestest of friends for life.

Uh oh. Third Wheel. Perhaps the worst two word to hit friendship since the dawn of time. No one every wants to be that odd person out. Let’s make sure we are all playing with the same terms here.
