Agreement
This is a legal agreement between you and Girlfriend Social. Please read the Agreement carefully before registering. If you do not agree to the Terms, please do not register for Girlfriend Social. The Terms are subject to change by Girlfriend Social at any time, effective upon notice to you.
General Girlfriend Social Rules
Girlfriend Social may remove accounts that misuse the community. Members may not:
- Insult, abuse, flame, harass, threaten, or attack other members.
- Post personally identifiable information of another member.
- Spam users, mass report users, bully other members, or argue with moderators or GFS staff.
- Post racism, discrimination, hate speech, abusive language, porn, inappropriate content, phishing links, or unsafe content.
- Ask users for money, sell, solicit, advertise, recruit members to competing websites, or post referrals of any kind.
- Re-post closed, modified, or deleted content, or recreate banned accounts.
Girlfriend Social is a friendship community, not a service for resolving personal disputes between members. Use the block button and ignore members you do not get along with. Abuse reports are investigated seriously and accounts may be removed as Girlfriend Social sees fit.
Minors May Not Become Members
By becoming a member, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
Accurate Information
In consideration of your use of the Site, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete Registration Data, maintain the security of your password and identification, maintain and promptly update your information, be fully responsible for all use of your account, and not register more than one user account or register an account for another individual, group, or entity.
Optional GFS VIP Upgrades
There is no refund for optional upgrades, including Gold or Diamond membership, on Girlfriend Social. Because upgrades are digital, optional, and benefits are received immediately, refunds are not offered if you change your mind, purchase by mistake, forget to cancel before renewal, or request goodwill refunds.
These upgrades support improvements, advertising, and the operation of the site. Please do not upgrade unless you understand these terms.
Termination of Account
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. Members are required to remove their own account through settings for security reasons. Girlfriend Social may terminate or suspend access to services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason or no reason, including if you breach this Agreement, are flagged for abuse, receive repeat complaints, or are found not to be in the spirit of the website.
Your membership is for your sole, personal use. You may not authorize others to use your membership and may not assign or transfer your account to any other person or entity.
Legal Disputes
You and Girlfriend Social agree to resolve claims or controversies arising out of this Agreement or the Services according to this section or as otherwise agreed in writing. Before resorting to litigation, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly to seek a resolution.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. You agree that any claim or dispute against Girlfriend Social must be resolved exclusively by a provincial or federal court located in Ontario, Canada, except as otherwise agreed by the parties.
Indemnity by Member
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Girlfriend Social, its officers, directors, employees, agents and third parties for any losses, costs, liabilities and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, relating to or arising out of your use of Girlfriend Social, including any breach by you of this Agreement.
Information Supplied by Member
Girlfriend Social will keep confidential all information supplied by you to Girlfriend Social and shall use or disclose such information only for the purposes for which such information was collected, or as required by law. Please see the Privacy Policy for more detailed information concerning confidentiality.
Complaints
To resolve a complaint regarding Girlfriend Social, you should first contact us. We will do everything in our power to resolve complaints fairly.
Disclaimer of Warranty
Girlfriend Social provides service on an "as is" basis and grants no warranties of any kind, expressed, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Girlfriend Social specifically disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Girlfriend Social does not warrant that your use of the service will be secure, uninterrupted, always available, error-free, or meet your requirements.
Limitation of Liability
In no event will Girlfriend Social be liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising out of the use of, or inability to use, Girlfriend Social. Girlfriend Social's liability to you for any cause whatsoever will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to Girlfriend Social for the service during the term of membership.
Girlfriend Social does not screen members registering for services in every way and will not be liable for damages arising out of communicating with or meeting other members. Members are advised to verify any information they consider important before meeting or interacting with another member.
Grounds for Removal, Sanction, or Suspension
Cause for removal, repeal, suspension, or termination includes using the website to harm or intimidate another person, impersonate any person or entity, disguise the origin of transmitted information, stalk or harass another, advertise unauthorized goods or services, resell access to information, collect or store personal data about users, encourage others to violate this Agreement, refuse staff instruction, violate applicable law, disclose private member information, or transmit money through stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorized accounts.
Content on GFS
Your posting of inappropriate actions, Public Information, or other materials may warrant removal or suspension. Girlfriend Social reserves the right to remove any post or material without warning or further notice. You understand that you may be exposed to conduct or content you find objectionable and that you use the website and attend Girlfriend Social activities at your own risk.
Abuse
Abuse is taken seriously by Girlfriend Social. Any user can report messages, profiles, or other items they feel are inappropriate. Because of the nature of the website, human moderation of accounts and messages is sometimes required. Accounts found to be violating policy will be removed accordingly.
User Content Posted on the Site
You are solely responsible for the photos, profiles, messages, notes, text, information, music, video, advertisements, listings, and other content that you upload, publish, display, transmit, or share through the Service or Site. You may not post content you did not create or do not have permission to post. Girlfriend Social may, but is not obligated to, review, delete, or remove content in its sole discretion.
User Submitted Content
When you post User Content to the Site, you authorize and direct us to make copies as necessary to facilitate posting and storage. By posting User Content, you grant Girlfriend Social a license to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt, and distribute such content in connection with the Site or promotion of the Site. You may remove your User Content at any time, though archived copies may be retained.
Copyright Complaints and Repeat Infringers
Girlfriend Social respects the intellectual property rights of others and prohibits users from uploading, posting, or transmitting materials that violate another party's intellectual property rights. Girlfriend Social may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and terminate accounts of repeat infringers in accordance with applicable law.
Third Party Websites and Content
The Site may contain links to third party websites and content. Girlfriend Social is not responsible for third party sites or content, including accuracy, offensiveness, opinions, reliability, privacy practices, or policies. If you access third party sites, you do so at your own risk and should review their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Waiver for Events
By participating in Girlfriend Social events or related activities, you absolve, release and waive civil or criminal liability claims against Girlfriend Social, FortuneGeek Corporation, GFS, its officers, volunteers, directors, leaders, consultants, and employees that may arise out of or be related to injury, damage, or pecuniary loss connected to club or club-related activities. FortuneGeek Corporation and Girlfriend Social reserve the right to refuse anyone entry into an event or cancel an account without notice.
