I did a web search on "platonic friendships" and this site was in the search engine. I ended up meeting my best friend on here! We've been friends for almost a decade now! We are very close, almost like sisters! I couldn't have asked for someone better in my life than her. I've come back here from time to time, but I've realized that a lot of the profiles are dead profiles because no one logs in anymore. Which is why I'm going to delete my account. One life-long friend I've made here, and she is the best thing that has happened to me on here since I joined. I joined on here during a really rough patch in life, was not expecting anything to come of it. But we had both been on here at the right time, we were brought together for a reason. I couldn't have imagined that I'd meet someone who is exactly the same as me, but so drastically different from me. I couldn't imagine my life without my best friend/sister in it. 

I set out with a goal to make new friends this year and GFS helped me do just that. I have made a few great friends. Thank you!  

Been Here For 3 years and it good  

I've met one of my best friend on GFS. It has been over 4 years since we have met and I love this girl. If it had not been for GFS, I would not have her in my life now. We would not have shared our marriage announcements, children growing, and all the other special events we have shared together. We have been through so many ups and downs in our lives and it is a blessing that we have had one another. I definitely consider her my best friend. 

I think the idea of a social network for women to make friends is a genius idea! I have already made some nice girlfriends and I just joined. I know the kinks need to be ironed out so I am looking forward to girlfriendsocial.com growing and I love being a part of this network growing and making more girfriends!  

I joined about a year ago and I met someone who I immediately clicked with. It turns out that our paths had almost crossed multiple times throughout our lives but we always just missed each other. The strange thing is that we actually share a maiden name, so I think we were destined to meet and become friends. We have so much in common and we hang out whenever we can. Now, I consider her a sister and I can't imagine not having her always just a phone call or few taps away. Thank you Girlfriend Social for bringing us together.

I met a great friend a few years ago on GFS. We were to meet for coffee for the first time and I got a flat tire - she came and helped me remove my tire and take the flat to get fixed!! So glad I met such a great person for my very first experience on GFS! :) 

I must say this is a great site to get to meet very nice ladies and I have had learning enlightening experiences. I met some wonderful people and had a great click with a local lady who is a wonderful friend and we have exchanged many texts and had some one on ones. We also exchanged Christmas cards and I am looking forward to our friendship growing. I hope to make many more wonderful friends here since everyone can always make more friends. I also met a long distant texting pal who I enjoy "chatting" with. 

I moved to New Mexico recently. It is not easy to make friends here. YOUR SITE helped me connect with a lady on my street. I had to go to a Canadian site to meet my American neighbor. Thank you!!! 

i joined GS from a couple years ago, i did in fact meet two people on here in person,one of them i didn't click with. but the other one i remain good friends with and we clicked straight away, we had more in common then i thought so it worked out so well for me.

Usually, it's a lot more difficult for me to get along with women and find real friends than it's been since I joined this site. We've already got 4 or 5 people and we met up at Panera yesterday. Really cool.  

I've been on GFS for a couple of years now, and I have managed to meet several great friends and build a small group of awesome women that I love to hang out with. I keep coming back to GFS to meet new friend and different friends because sometimes even friends of several years can drift apart as life takes you down different paths.  

GFS can be a great tool to meet a best friend or close circle of friends, if the individual ladies re will to put in the time and energy. I met my best friend here. We have been friends for a little over five years now and I would not change it for the world. I am looking forward to make maybe another close friend.  

I was so very nervous about joining GFS but I am so glad I plucked up courage and took the plunge. I have had nothing but positive reactions from everyone I have chatted with and hope that I will make many new friends that will last a lifetime.

I have been using GFS for four years now and still love it! I have met up with several girls and they've all been great. Even though our friendships didn't last more than a few meet-ups, I still consider it a great experience and a way to push my shyness aside. I still get on frequently in hopes of finding a best friend! 

I joined GFS awhile ago because i moved to a brand new state by myself and i wanted to meet new friends. I have met some really wonderful people and still have friendships with a few people today! 

I love GFS!! The website is super user friendly, you can search for ladies in your area with similar interests and you can even chat with them online. I have been a member for over a year and a half and now have a group of ladies from GFS that I hang out with all the time. Even our husbands hang out together. There are no risks and you can move at your own pace…it was the best decision I made. Who has time to make friends when your career, kids, school and life keeps getting in the way. GFS gave me my social life back and a chance to share life’s adventures with great friends!!
