How can you Save Money On Halloween Costumes? Its that time of year again folks! Halloween is just around the corner and as always little ghost and goblins (and big ones) are heading to the store to find out what flavor of creature, ghoul or princess they will be this year.

If you have several kids at home or you want something better than the non flammable plastic kind over priced costume, there usually is a hefty price tags attached to one night of fun. But it really doesn’t have to be that way.  Why not spice it up and try some of these ideas instead?

• Hold a “last years costume party” – Invite local parents, friends and family together for a get together where everyone brings Costumes of Halloween past. A quick switch-a-roo and last years costume is now new!

• The Local Dollar store is a HUGE supply of easy to throw together and inexpensive items. Before shelling out for the department store brand it is worth a look. This is especially true if you want a classic – Ghost, cat, fairy, devil etc.
• Known to many already but the local thrift stores have an endless supply of tacky old dresses, spooky suits and white sheets perfect for making ghosts or some of these easy ideas below.

Easy Last minute Halloween Costumes

Here are some super fast and super easy last minute Halloween Costumes.

A Burrito – A silver skirt, tan colored top, a piece of green felt attached with some pins to the top and you are a tasty burrito.

Couples Car Karaoke – Cardboard cut out of a car -the cheesier the better. Velcro straps. One microphone and one boombox. You are done.

Queen Of Hearts – Red dress. Create a paper collar that wraps around your neck. Staple an entire deck of cards to paper collar in fanned out effect. Red heart shaped lipstick will complete the look.

Men In Black Costume – All black suits, Ties, Sunglasses. Done. Groups of people doing this have a better effect.

50 Shades of Grey Costume – Pick up many grey sample paint swatches from your local hardware store and stable them to any plain t-shirt.

Raining Men Halloween Costume – Tape to string cut outs of your favorite men. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Justin Trudeau. Attach the string to an umbrella. Pop on some rain boo9ts and a trench coat and you are all done.

Pineapple – Yellow flowy dress. Wear a green hat or make one out of green felt.
