What is a Verified Member?

Girlfriend Social wants to continue being a safe haven for women that are wanting to find platonic friendships with other like-minded ladies. Girlfriend Social has put security features in place to discourage men from signing up on the site; although, these procedures cannot deter all men from joining.

Safety is our main concern and at the rate this community is growing, the problem of fake profiles could become a major issue, so it is time to prevent this problem before it starts.

To keep the site friendly and open, we have decided to implement a feature called "Verified". A simple feedback system that say you have met this lady in real life. Just as you would recommend friends to your co-worker, now you can recommend awesome people you have connected with off the site to the community and let everyone know - "Here is a great lady". You will need 3 seperate ladies to verify you before your status on GFS will change to VERIFIED.

How Do I get Verified If There are Not Many Local GFS Members?

Try sending a coffee or messging a few of the local ladies and suggest meeting up! Once you meet, remember to verify each other. If you can't seem to find anyone to meet up with, you can Invite some women you know in real life to verify you instead. You might not have a local girlfriend but you probably know some women that might like the site too. Think hair dresser, boss, co-worker or sister-in-law. You can invite them with this nifty feature by clicking here. Otherwise you can help us promote the site in your local area with some of these great flyers! Hang some up at places you go and watch the local ladies start signing up. (This is a double bonus since it will get more women in your area and its super easy to do!)

How Do I Verify Someone?

It takes only a second to verify someone! Simply visit their profile, click the verify button and leave a comment about the lady that you have met in real life. That's it! After they receive 3 total recommendations from 3 different women then they become a "Verified Member". We are asking for 3 different women to recommend as to ensure that there have been multiple women to meet the member.


Remember to only verify members you have met face to face.

Verified Members will be shown with this nifty little badge on their profile page.




You might be wondering, "What good comes from being verified?" Well, when a member is verified others will know:

1. You are a real woman and they can feel safe around you.
2. You have established relationships on GFS with people you have met here.
3. New members can feel comfortable getting help from you.
4. Members will be more likely to talk and meet with you.
5. Not to mention, Verified Members get special benefits on the site.
